Job Description: CAD Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of physical design flows from synthesis to gdsII.
  • Implement automation for backend runs through scripting, post-process logs, and job reruns.
  • Collaborate closely with silicon engineering teams to assess and adopt best-in-class EDA tools and methodologies for chips.
  • Provide support for third-party EDA software tools and/or in-house scripts utilized by the design team.
  • Actively engage with EDA tool vendors to address issues and ensure resolution.
  • Conduct training sessions for flow users and address any related issues they encounter.
  • Spearhead methodology and flow improvements.

Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of industry experience in ASIC Physical Design CAD.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, and TCL.
  • Showcase expertise in industry-standard ASIC synthesis, place & route, timing/crosstalk closure, physical verification, and sign-off EDA tools.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have experience with EDA license management, LSF, equivalent job schedulers, and cloud-based development on AWS, Google Cloud, or similar platforms (a significant advantage).
