Meet Chris, a seasoned technical recruitment professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry.

Chris began his career at Computer People, where he worked his way up to director level. After 13 years of service, he decided it was the right time to start the Understanding Recruitment project, a company based on high performance, quality, and values. He is also the founding director of Understanding Recruitment's US sister brand, Acceler8 Talent.

As CEO of the Understanding Recruitment Group, Chris is responsible for ensuring that the business is developing, growing, and maximizing suitable opportunities within the market while maintaining their strong inherent values. One of his key focuses has been investing in and taking care of employee welfare and engagement, making himself available for client meetings and pitches. Chris takes pride in knowing the business inside out and the industry, which adds good value to clients on their technical staffing needs, supporting them across all specialisms.

There are many aspects of his role that Chris enjoys, but if he had to pick one, it would be all staff promotions as he knows the hard work that it takes and how much it means to everyone.

A little-known fact about Chris is that he has run the Medoc wine marathon (and would highly recommend it!).
