Anna joined the internal recruitment team at Understanding Recruitment Group in 2025, bringing with her eight years of recruitment experience. Having worked across both 360 and internal recruitment within agencies, she has a deep understanding of what makes a successful recruiter.

Before joining Understanding Recruitment, Anna was an internal recruiter for a tech-focused agency, hiring across the UK and USA. Now, she specializes in attracting both graduate and experienced recruiters to join the business, leveraging her extensive market knowledge to identify top talent.

With a track record of hiring over 150 recruiters—from trainees to directors—Anna knows what other agencies offer (and what they don’t). She often has insights into a candidate’s previous workplaces, making her an invaluable resource for those looking to make their next move in agency recruitment.

Anna’s favorite part of the job? Finding those ‘gem’ candidates and watching them thrive, from their first placement to well-earned promotions. And, of course, she enjoys the unique incentives that make recruitment such a rewarding industry.

A little-known fact: Anna’s first job was answering phones at a Chinese takeout. Now, she spends her time answering calls from future recruitment stars—often with her Frenchie, Kevin, by her side.
