AI Researcher - San Francisco (Onsite)
A San Francisco-based AI infrastructure startup on a mission to make inference dramatically more efficient, scalable, and accessible are on the lookout for an AI Researcher to join their tea.
What will I be doing:
- Monitor and evaluate cutting-edge AI research to identify breakthrough techniques
- Research and implement methods to improve model accuracy, performance, and efficiency
- Design and prototype frameworks using the latest fine-tuning and knowledge distillation techniques
- Explore new model architectures and experiment with novel inference efficiency methods like KV caching and FlashAttention
- Push the boundaries of model performance through innovative research and development
What are we looking for:
- Master's or PhD in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or comparable field
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML or applied data science
- Preferred: Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, vLLM, ONNX, and other AI frameworks
- Preferred: Software development skills in Python and C++
- Preferred: Deep understanding of current AI research and techniques
- Preferred: Strong foundation in statistical analysis
