🚀 Full Stack Engineering Team Lead | Up to £130k | London (Hybrid)

I'm partnering with a rapidly scaling GreenTech company that's transforming the EV charging industry.

With partnerships with major automotive brands including Tesla, VW and Mercedes, and expansion into international markets, they're entering an exciting phase of growth.

They're looking for a Full Stack Engineering Team Lead to lead engineers building the digital platforms behind the entire customer journey, from purchasing an EV charger through to installation.

💰 Salary: Up to £130,000

📍 Location: Central London (Strand) – 3 days onsite

💻 Split: 70% leadership / 30% hands-on coding

🚀 What you'll be doing:

• Leading and developing a team of full-stack engineers, including hiring, mentoring and performance reviews.
• Driving product delivery and collaborating closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Remaining hands-on across frontend and backend development.
• Helping modernise a Kotlin monolith into domain-driven services.
• Supporting the migration from Vue to Next.js.
• Championing practical, sustainable AI adoption across engineering and customer experiences.

🔍 What we're looking for:

• Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
• Strong full-stack experience with React / Next.js and TypeScript.
• Commercial backend experience with Kotlin, Java or Scala.
• Experience delivering scalable, production-grade software.
• Someone proactive, curious and comfortable challenging the status quo.
• Experience implementing AI initiatives and understanding where AI adds genuine value.

Tech stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Kotlin, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, DynamoDB, CI/CD and Datadog.

You'll join a growing engineering organization of approximately 60 people, with genuine ownership over your team's development, product delivery and technical outcomes.
