Lead Data Scientist - Agentic AI - San Francisco (Onsite)
A Seed funded startup that is building an AI-powered social matchmaker are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join their team.
What will I be doing:
- Continuous experience and behavior pipelines
- Reward systems grounded in real outcomes
- Feedback loops that meaningfully change agent behavior
- Long-horizon evaluation frameworks (not one-off metrics)
- Matchmaking and recommendation signals
- Experimentation systems (A/B tests, bandits, sequential testing)
- Drift detection, safety monitoring, and anti-gaming guardrails
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years in applied ML / data science (production)
- 3+ years building LLM-enabled systems
- Experience designing end-to-end feedback and reward loops
- Strong hands-on data engineering skills
- Production experience with agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, or similar)
- Deep understanding of reward shaping, value estimation, and long-horizon learning
