🌟 Machine Learning Scientist | San Francisco
An early-stage biotech startup is applying cutting-edge ML to design proteins with the potential to change lives - and we’re looking for a scientist who thrives at the intersection of theory, coding, and real-world impact.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and refine protein language models from the ground up
- Collaborate with lab scientists to validate discoveries experimentally
- Drive projects from theoretical research through practical implementation
- Contribute to both the technical stack and the team’s long-term vision
What we’re looking for:
- PhD in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or Machine Learning
- Strong research track record (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, JMLR, TIT, etc.)
- Exceptional math and coding skills, with a passion for fast-moving, open-ended problems
💰 Compensation: Up to $250K + 1-1.5% equity, full health & dental, San Francisco-based (relocation support included).
