⚡ Mechanical Design Engineer | AI Networking Hardware | Santa Clara
Want to design the physical systems around the GPUs powering the next generation of AI?
I’m working with a fast-growing AI infrastructure company building high-speed networking hardware for hyperscalers and NeoClouds.
They’ve raised $610M, including a $500M Series B at a $4.2B valuation, and are hiring a senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own dense hardware from architecture through production.
You’ll work across:
→ Switch chassis and line-card design
→ Tolerance analysis and complex electro-mechanical assemblies
→ OSFP/QSFP, PCBs, cabling, EMI and cooling constraints
→ Prototype, qualification and production
What the team are ideally looking for:
→ 10+ years delivering telecom, networking or data-center hardware
→ Ownership of chassis and line-card designs using Creo or SolidWorks
→ Experience taking tolerance, connector, cable, EMI, safety and cooling decisions into production
→ Hands-on work with prototypes, supplier issues and environmental/NEBS-style qualification
→ Clear ownership of a dense system from first CAD through production
📍 Santa Clara, CA
💰 Around $250K base, up to ~$300K + equity
If your background sits at the intersection of dense hardware, mechanical design and product ownership, I’d love to hear from you.
