About the job

Acceler8 Talent is partnered with a well-funded semiconductor startup pioneering next-generation in-memory compute architectures (with a twist) to help them find a Senior Silicon Validation Engineer to join their team.

The company’s technology is redefining how AI workloads are executed—merging novel analog compute-in-memory hardware with advanced digital system design to achieve industry-leading energy efficiency and scalability.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of post-silicon validation of DDR memory subsystems (LPDDR4x, LPDDR5x) across advanced SoC platforms. You’ll define test plans, lead validation execution, and collaborate closely with architecture, design, firmware, and SI/PI teams to ensure robust performance, signal integrity, and system reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead validation and bring-up of DDR/LPDDR subsystems across multiple SoC platforms.
  • Define and execute comprehensive test plans for training, performance, and stress scenarios.
  • Develop and debug low-level firmware (bootloaders, memory drivers, training code) for DDR initialization.
  • Perform timing margin analysis, reliability testing, and root-cause failure analysis using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTs).
  • Automate validation workflows with Python, C/C++, or similar scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with design, firmware, and SI/PI teams to optimize performance and power characteristics.

Qualifications

  • BSEE/BSCE or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of SoC validation experience, including 2+ years in post-silicon DDR/LPDDR subsystem validation.
  • Strong C/C++ programming and scripting (Python, Perl) skills for low-level firmware and automation.
  • Deep understanding of DRAM operations, memory controller architecture, and JEDEC LPDDR standards.
  • Experience with silicon bring-up tools (Lauterbach, JTAG, trace analyzers).
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, firmware bring-up, and memory performance tuning.
