⚡ Digital IC Engineer | RTL-to-Silicon | Photonic AI Computing

Want to design the digital logic that helps turn light into compute?

I’m working with an early-stage photonic computing startup building a new generation of AI processors and looking for a Digital IC Engineer to take ownership of the digital side of its mixed-signal chips.

With $15M in seed funding, live customers and optical tensor cores already taped out, the team is hiring a foundational digital engineer with ownership from RTL through implementation and silicon bring-up.

🔧 What you'll work on:

  • RTL design for DSP, control and interface logic
  • Digital interfaces to analog and photonic hardware
  • Synthesis, timing closure and physical implementation
  • Digital design tools and CAD flow development
  • Silicon bring-up, validation and debugging
  • Collaboration with analog, photonics and packaging engineers

🎯 What they’re looking for:

Hands-on digital IC / ASIC design experience, strong RTL skills, and experience taking designs through synthesis and implementation.

Experience with DSP, mixed-signal interfaces or silicon bring-up would be particularly relevant.

You’ll work closely with analog and photonics engineers, with room to shape the design flow and take substantial technical ownership. Seniority is flexible depending on experience.

📍 Berkeley, CA | Fully onsite

💰 $180K–$220K base + equity, depending on experience

If your background sits at the intersection of digital IC design, DSP and mixed-signal hardware, I’d love to hear from you.
