Acceler8 Talent is seeking a Principal SoC Architect to join an early stage startup backed by a Tier-1 VC that is rethinking AI infrastructure from first principles.


Founded by highly respected industry veterans, they are innovating at the chip and system level to deliver an order of magnitude better performance-per-watt for inference, which would mean a huge economic shift for anyone running large scale models, unlocking larger context windows and longer generations, making new workloads economically viable.


Responsibilities:

 ● End-to-end SoC and chiplet architecture for AI inference platforms

 ● PCIe Gen6 or higher, industry standard scale-up / scale-out interconnects, and UCIe integration

 ● HBM/LPDDR memory subsystem architecture, bandwidth modeling, and memory controller integration

 ● Control path design including CPU complex, boot flows, security, power/reset/clocking

 ● Close collaboration with RTL, firmware, validation, and packaging teams

 ● Silicon bring-up, debug strategy, and performance tuning


Qualifications:

 ● You’ve architected real, shipping SoCs

 ● Strong knowledge of key SoC blocks (identified above) and their interfaces

 ● You’re comfortable making trade-offs under constraints (PPA, schedule, cost)

 ● You’ve worked across architecture, RTL, firmware, and bring-up teams and across the full life cycle of SoC development

 ● Early stage SoC development in a start-up environment

 ● Experience with chiplet or multi-die SoCs is a strong plus

 ● Experience with AI accelerators, GPUs, or high-bandwidth networking Si is a strong plus
