We’re partnering with a fast-growing AI company rebuilding the foundation of one of the world’s largest industries: insurance claims processing. They’re building core infrastructure and complex multi-agent AI systems to automate high-value workflows and decision-making across insurance.
They’re now hiring exceptional engineers to join the team in San Francisco.
This role is best suited to strong builders with a backend / distributed systems foundation, ideally with exposure to applied AI.
The company has already:
• Reached multi-7-figure ARR in under a year
• Raised a major Series A from tier-one investors
• Built a team from elite engineering and AI backgrounds
• Hired engineers from high-bar environments across quant, big tech and AI
• Attracted talent with ICPC, Olympiad, ICML and ICCV backgrounds
You’ll work across:
• Core backend systems and infrastructure
• Python, PostgreSQL, vector databases and cloud platforms
• Distributed systems, APIs, scaling and production architecture
• Multi-agent AI systems and LLM productization
• Workflow automation across complex insurance processes
• Shipping production-grade code quickly in a high-ownership environment
For AI / ML candidates, this is an applied AI engineering role, not a research role.
The team is looking for people who understand the fundamentals, probability, statistics, ML basics and model behaviour, but who also know how to build, ship and own real production systems.
Strong profiles may include:
• Backend engineers with distributed systems experience
• Applied AI engineers with strong software engineering fundamentals
• Former founding engineers, CTOs or early startup engineers
• Engineers from high technical-bar environments
• Competitive programmers, Olympiad backgrounds or top academic performers
• Builders with meaningful open-source, patents, publications or standout projects
This is an intense, in-person SF opportunity for engineers who want to move fast, take ownership and help redefine a huge legacy industry with AI.
