💼 Team: Engineering | Type: Full-time

About the Company:

We’re building intelligent infrastructure that changes how HVAC systems are monitored, maintained, and operated. Our platform uses AI and sensor data to deliver real-time diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and system optimization, reimagining how people manage one of the most critical systems in their homes.

About the Role:

We’re seeking our first Staff Product Engineer and Web Lead to shape the technical foundation of our homeowner and contractor portals, internal tools, and AI-powered dashboards.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you’ll work as both architect and hands-on builder. You’ll define scalable systems, create shared web infrastructure, and ship polished products in close partnership with Product, Design, Backend, AI, and Data teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the architecture and roadmap for web experiences across the platform.
  • Build shared component libraries, design systems, routing, state management, and data-visualization frameworks.
  • Deliver reliable, high-performance features with cross-functional teams.
  • Establish standards for testing, CI/CD, accessibility, observability, performance, and web security.
  • Turn AI insights and telemetry into intuitive, data-rich user experiences.
  • Mentor engineers and help shape technical culture as the team grows.
  • Remain hands-on from architectural decisions through production delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of professional web development experience.
  • Ownership of at least one product through a 0 → 1 → scale journey.
  • Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Capable with Python.
  • Experience architecting modular front-end platforms and shared component systems.
  • Strong knowledge of design systems, application performance, and build optimization.
  • Experience with complex APIs and data-rich interfaces; exposure to AI or telemetry products is a plus.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, accessibility, observability, and modern web security.
  • A strong eye for design quality and user experience.
  • Excellent communication across product, design, and engineering.
  • A builder’s mindset centered on ownership, speed, and production-quality execution.
