About the job

A fast-scaling AI semiconductor startup is hiring an experienced SoC Architect to define the architecture of a next-generation, server-class AI chip. This organization is building vertically integrated hardware and software platforms designed to train and deploy the world’s most advanced machine learning models- bringing breakthrough AI capabilities to market faster.

This is a highly visible role with end-to-end architectural ownership and direct influence on cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) into cohesive SoC-level architectures in partnership with subsystem architects and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Define top-level SoC architecture, including memory hierarchy, interconnect fabrics, clocking strategy, power architecture, IP selection, and system integration
  • Architect system-level flows such as power-up, boot sequencing, and recovery
  • Drive feasibility analysis and lead power, performance, and area (PPA) trade-offs in collaboration with implementation teams
  • Own architectural specifications and documentation from early definition through production

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong industry experience architecting complex SoCs
  • Deep knowledge of memory subsystems and interconnect technologies, including relevant industry standards
  • Proven ability to derive functional and PPA requirements from product use cases
  • Sound technical judgment in evaluating architectural trade-offs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation discipline
  • Experience working cross-functionally across hardware, software, and third-party IP partners
  • Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Verilog, Bash, C/C++, Python, or similar)

This opportunity is ideal for architects who want to shape foundational silicon enabling large-scale AI systems and play a central role in delivering next-generation compute platforms.
