Founding Engineer

Founding Engineer - Onsite NYC - up to $300k 

A well-funded, seed-stage startup rebuilding performance marketing from first principles using AI agents are looking for Founding Engineers to join their team. 

What will I be doing: 

• Design and build autonomous, agentic systems for performance marketing
• Work on frontier ML problems (reinforcement learning, bandits, reasoning, agent reliability)
• Build and scale data infrastructure and model-serving pipelines
• Develop systems for ad creative generation and experimentation
• Own ambiguous, high-impact problems from first principles → production
• Work directly with the founders on technical direction and architecture

What we’re looking for:

Exceptional talent shows up in many forms. You might be a fit if you’ve demonstrated unusually strong technical ability through:

• Shipped products, startups, open-source, research, or competitions
• Strong foundations in CS, math, or engineering (top academic background a plus)
• Experience in big tech, frontier AI labs, or high-quality startups
• Comfort solving hard, ambiguous problems without a playbook
• Interest in applied ML systems, not just models in isolation
• Genuine curiosity about advertising, marketplaces, or real-world optimization problems
