A high-growth AI startup is hiring a Generalist / Staff Software Engineer to help build the intelligence layer powering dispatch in the home services industry.
The company uses AI to automate real-time dispatcher decision-making, helping HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses match the right technician to the right job. The business has reached multi-million-dollar ARR within 18 months and is already cash-flow positive.
The Role
- Build core AI orchestration and product systems
- Work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Help shape technical direction in a fast-moving environment
What They’re Looking For
- Strong generalist software engineering background
- Comfortable across React/TypeScript, Python, ML orchestration, and infrastructure
- Highly execution-focused, with strong product instinct
- Able to solve complex problems from first principles
- 2–10+ years of experience, though quality of experience matters more than total years
Preferred Backgrounds
- Top-tier Computer Science education or equivalent technical pedigree
- Experience from elite startups, leading tech companies, quant firms, or similarly rigorous environments
