Staff SoC Design Engineer

Acceler8 Talent is looking for a Staff SoC Design Engineer to a fast-growing startup developing high-performance microelectronic products that enable secure collection, processing, and distribution of critical data. Their solutions are trusted by both government and commercial clients who require lower power, higher efficiency, and proven security.

The team blends decades of experience in advanced semiconductor design with deep expertise in cryptographic systems. Headquartered in the Midwest with additional offices on the West Coast, they are remote-friendly for the right candidate. You’ll work across architecture, design, verification, and implementation—contributing to everything from integrating 3rd-party IP to building complex, secure systems from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead or contribute to architectural feasibility studies and micro-architecture development
• Design and integrate complex SoC blocks
• Develop block-level test cases and debug RTL and gate-level issues
• Handle synthesis, timing closure, Lint, CDC, and DFT
• Support silicon bring-up and post-silicon debug
• Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team to build cutting-edge secure microelectronic systems

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of relevant experience (exceptional academic experience considered)
• Strong RTL design and verification skills (SystemVerilog, UVM, etc.)
• Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, etc.)
• Familiarity with security, cryptography, or DoD-related applications is a plus
• Passion for working on small, agile teams solving challenging problems
