I’m working with a well-funded technology company developing next-generation hardware for high-performance data-center applications.

They are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to develop complex networking systems from initial architecture through production.

This is a hands-on design position with responsibility across system design, schematic development, PCB integration, bring-up, validation and manufacturing.

You’ll work on:

• Ethernet switches and complex high-speed circuit boards
• High-power ASICs and high-speed SerDes interfaces
• CPU, memory and management subsystems
• Integrating high-speed optical modules and networking interfaces
• Power architecture, sequencing and AC/DC or DC/DC conversion
• Signal-integrity, power-integrity and EMC considerations
• System-level analysis, simulation, validation and testing
• Board bring-up and complex hardware debugging
• Cross-functional work with software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing and supply-chain teams
• Design processes, technical standards and engineering best practices
• Product qualification and production ramp.

Looking for engineers who have:

• Owned complex hardware or board designs from concept through production
• Designed systems containing high-speed SerDes and high-power ASICs
• Worked with x86, ARM, PowerPC or BMC-based subsystems
• Strong knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity and EMC
• Experience with power delivery and thermal-management requirements
• Digital logic design experience using VHDL or Verilog
• Familiarity with UL, CE or FCC requirements
• Shipped multiple generations of commercial hardware
• Strong ownership, communication and cross-functional problem-solving skills

Experience with networking, telecom, server, storage or comparable high-performance systems is particularly relevant.
