Up to 250k* base + strong founding equity.
I'm working with a well-funded semiconductor startup developing next-generation integrated circuits for AI and high-speed optical interconnects.
This is an opportunity to join a small 15person highly technical team building custom analog and mixed-signal silicon from the ground up.
You'll own circuits from architecture through tape-out, silicon bring-up, and validation, working alongside experienced IC designers solving challenging problems in high-speed communications.
You'll work on problems such as:
- Designing high-performance analog and mixed-signal building blocks
- Developing high-speed interfaces for optical communication systems
- Taking custom ICs from architecture through tape-out and silicon validation
- Optimising circuits across PVT, Monte Carlo, EMIR and reliability requirements
- Collaborating closely with layout, verification and system engineers to deliver production silicon
We're looking for engineers who have:
- Strong analog or mixed-signal IC design experience
- Tape-out experience in advanced CMOS, FD-SOI or SiGe BiCMOS technologies
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and transistor-level circuit design
- Strong understanding of circuit verification and silicon bring-up
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset
Nice to have:
- High-speed SerDes or optical transceiver experience
- TIA, CDR, PLL, ADC, DAC or data converter design
- Silicon photonics experience
- EMIR, reliability or post-silicon validation experience
- Startup experience / PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering
The company is building custom silicon to enable the next generation of AI infrastructure and high-bandwidth optical connectivity.
