I'm working with a stealth AI infrastructure startup founded by the engineers behind Tesla Dojo, Apple Silicon, AMD Zen, and Cerebras.

They're building a fundamentally new computing platform designed to solve one of AI's biggest infrastructure challenges: scaling performance without scaling power consumption and cost.

Using wafer-scale architectures and advanced 3D integration, they're rethinking how AI compute is built from the silicon up - reducing data movement, increasing compute density, and enabling the next generation of AI training and inference.

This is an opportunity to own the board-level hardware that turns cutting-edge AI silicon into working systems, joining a small team building some of the most advanced compute platforms in the industry.

You'll work on

  • Designing accelerator boards and system hardware from schematic through production
  • Developing high-current power delivery networks (PDN) for next-generation AI accelerators
  • Driving PCB layout for high-speed interfaces including PCIe, DDR, LPDDR, and SerDes
  • Bringing up new boards in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers
  • Working with silicon, packaging, SI/PI, firmware, and thermal teams to solve complex system-level challenges
  • Using AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate board design and debug

We're looking for engineers who have

  • 5+ years of board or system-level electrical design experience for high-performance digital systems
  • Experience designing complex PCBs using Altium, Cadence Allegro, or similar tools
  • Strong experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, LPDDR, or SerDes
  • Hands-on board bring-up, validation, and electrical debug experience
  • Experience designing and validating power delivery networks for high-power systems
  • A strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and board-level electrical design

Particularly relevant experience includes

  • PCB Design
  • Board Bring-up
  • Power Delivery Networks (PDN)
  • PCIe
  • DDR / LPDDR
  • SerDes
  • AI Accelerators
  • GPU Boards
  • Server Hardware
  • Cadence Allegro

Nice to have

  • AI accelerator, GPU, or datacenter hardware experience
  • Accelerator cards or server motherboard design
  • High-current GPU or accelerator power delivery
  • Package-to-board integration
  • FPGA-based systems
  • ANSYS HFSS, SIwave, or similar SI/PI tools
  • Thermal co-design experience

If you're excited by the challenge of building the hardware platforms that power the next generation of AI infrastructure, I'd love to tell you more.
