Engineering Manager - San Francisco, CA
A fast-growing AI startup building voice and communication infrastructure for enterprise financial services is looking for a highly technical Engineering Manager to lead and scale a high-performing engineering team building real-time AI systems at scale.
What Will I Be Doing?
- Leading and developing a high-performing engineering team through hiring, mentorship, and performance management
- Remaining hands-on technically by contributing code, driving architecture decisions, and supporting incident response
- Partnering closely with leadership on technical strategy, team scaling, and engineering execution
- Owning engineering operations including KPIs, 1:1s, performance reviews, and delivery metrics
- Driving compliance and security initiatives across regulated enterprise environments
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience leading engineering teams through rapid growth and scaling
- Strong technical background with the ability to contribute as an individual contributor when needed
- Experience managing backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems teams
- Strong communication, leadership, and team development skills
