Hiring for a Remote Senior Forward Deployed position, across the US and Canada, for a company redefining underwriting with AI that helps carriers act in real time, optimize portfolios and take smart risks that serve both business and customer. Ideal candidates will bring a strong software engineering foundation and will have transitioned into a customer-facing technical role, such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or specialist consultancy for B2B SaaS platforms. This is still a hands-on role: candidates must be actively writing and pushing production code, using SQL in their day-to-day work and partnering with B2B customers post-sale to deliver technical outcomes.
Qualifications
- 6+ years experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Currently hands on with programming languages and SQL
- Experience in customer facing work and building custom facing solutions
- Relevant Titles : FDE/Solutions Engineer
- Startup experience is a plus
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own complex B2B implementations from discovery through launch, including planning, scoping, timelines, risk management, escalation, and launch readiness.
- Lead technical discovery with customers, turning ambiguous requirements into clear implementation plans and scoped technical work.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for integration and custom implementation issues, debugging deep problems and designing practical solutions.
- Write, debug, and ship production and integration code using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Design implementation approaches that work within customer constraints while making the best use of the product’s capabilities.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to share customer feedback, influence priorities, and improve delivery.
- Build and improve delivery playbooks, onboarding processes, internal training, and technical guidance for the FDE team.
- Communicate risks, findings, and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
