About the job
We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer with 7+ years’ experience building production AI and decision-support systems.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can take ambiguous, business-critical problems and turn them into production.
You’ll partner with technical teams to architect scalable data, AI and operational workflows while leading end to end solution delivery.
This is a fully remote role with strong preference for those within Eastern and Central time zones
What you’ll be doing
- Build and deploy AI-enabled software solutions on platforms such as Palantir Foundry
- Own Python/PySpark data pipelines, ontology-style data models, APIs, and front-end applications
- Turn ambiguous business and operational problems into scalable technical systems
- Deliver operational AI products that reduce waste, improve planning, automate workflows, or support real-time decisions
- Take models, data products, and applications from development into production
- Lead stakeholder discovery, shape requirements, and work closely with technical and non-technical users
- Set engineering standards and mentor other engineers
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards
What we’re looking for
- 7+ years’ experience building production AI, data, or decision-support systems
- Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry
- Experience with Foundry tools such as Code Repositories, Contour, Workshop, and Ontology
- Strong Python development skills, ideally including PySpark
- Experience building data pipelines, APIs, ontology-style data models and production applications
- Front-end experience with React, TypeScript, Angular or similar frameworks
- Experience delivering operational AI products in complex environments
- Good understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps, and the machine learning lifecycle
- Ability to work with unclear requirements, ask the right questions, and translate business problems into working systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to set standards for other engineers
