Security Architect

Acceler8 Talent is working with a startup developing a chip and a system, based on a chip, for AI workloads in a datacenter deployment. This role owns end-to-end full system security architecture for the product across hardware and software.

What You'll Do Here

• Identify and understand relevant security requirements for the system
• Translate high-level security requirements into end-to-end system designs
• Author security architecture and design documents across HW, FW, and SW
• Perform system-level threat modeling and define mitigations
• Decide HW vs. SW security placement and evaluate tradeoffs
• Co-design secure systems with hardware, firmware, and software teams
• Design and review secure boot, key management, and isolation mechanisms
• Lead cross-team security reviews and alignment
• Provide clear, risk-based guidance to engineering leadership

Who You Are

• 5+ years in system, hardware, or HW/SW security
• Experience defining security architectures and writing design docs
• Strong knowledge secure boot, encrypted communication, key negotiation, reset isolation, and debug
• Proven ability to make HW/SW security tradeoffs
• Track record of leading across multiple engineering teams
• Strong coding skills in Rust and/or C/C++, with proficiency in Python
• This is a hybrid role that will require you to work from our Mountain View, CA office 3 days a week on Tuesday through Thursday
