Lead AI Engineer – Enterprise AI Transformation - US Eastern (Remote) 

A global organization is building a high-impact internal AI engineering function to modernize operations through data, machine learning, and advanced platforms and is looking for a Lead AI Engineer to own end-to-end solution delivery and mentor a growing team.

What will I be doing?

• Architecting and deploying AI-driven applications across core business functions
• Designing data pipelines, ontologies, and decision-support systems
• Leading end-to-end delivery: from problem definition through to production deployment
• Partnering directly with stakeholders to translate complex operational challenges into scalable solutions
• Integrating machine learning models into live workflows
• Mentoring engineers and setting best practices across AI and software development
• Driving continuous improvement across AI-enabled systems and platforms

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of experience across software engineering, AI/ML, or data engineering
• Strong Python skills with experience in distributed systems and large-scale data workflows
• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI systems
• Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers in technical environments
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and take ownership of outcomes
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g. Foundry-style environments) is highly valuable
• Strong stakeholder engagement and systems-thinking mindset
