🛩️ Senior AI/ML Engineers – Autonomous Systems | Germany
I’m working with a leading European defence technology company building AI-powered autonomous systems across air, land and sea.
Following a $1.2B funding round, the company is expanding its AI and autonomy teams. This is an opportunity to deploy machine learning onto real unmanned systems operating in demanding, mission-critical environments.
Opportunities Include
- AI Software: Productionising computer-vision models, integrating sensors and deploying AI onto embedded hardware
- Machine Learning: Training and optimising deep-learning models for perception and autonomy
- ML Platform: Building cloud infrastructure, training pipelines and GPU environments
- Data Engineering: Managing geospatial, imagery, LiDAR, telemetry and sensor-fusion data
- Edge AI: Optimising inference for resource-constrained autonomous platforms
What They’re Looking For
- Professional experience in AI, ML, computer vision, robotics, data or platform engineering
- Strong Python, C++ or Rust skills
- Experience with deep learning, embedded systems, cloud infrastructure or large-scale data
- An interest in autonomous systems and solving problems on real hardware
- The ability to take work from prototype through to field-ready deployment
You don’t need previous defence or aerospace experience.
Strong personal projects are highly valued. If you build, modify or fly drones; compete in autonomous-drone challenges; develop robotics projects; experiment with computer vision; or deploy models onto edge hardware in your spare time, they want to hear from you.
