Senior Software Engineer - NYC | On-site | Full-Time | $200k-300k Base + Equity
I'm working with an early-stage AI company (nearly $10m from Foundational Capital) building an AI operating system for the CFO office with revenue reportedly grown by roughly 30x in 9 months.
The team is creating Audit-Ready AI Agents that can take on real accounting and finance workflows across revenue, close, reporting, treasury and audit readiness - with the long-term goal of finance teams reviewing exceptions while AI handles the underlying work.
They’re building a small, exceptionally strong engineering team in NYC and looking for engineers who want real ownership at an early-stage company.
What you'll work on:
You'll own major parts of the product end-to-end, working across
🤖AI agents and LLM orchestration
⚙️Backend and distributed systems
📊Infrastructure and data pipelines
🧑 💻Enterprise integrations and financial systems
✅Verification, observability and reliable AI workflows
🔧Shaping the foundational architecture and engineering standards to the company
What they're looking for:
- Mostly backend of infrastructure experience
- Strong experience with Python, Go, Java, Rust or similar
- Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar domains, translate into software and solve problems end-to-end
- Experience using modern AI coding tools/agents as part of your engineering workflow
