Member of Technical Staff | Distributed Systems

I'm working with a small, deeply technical $80 million Series A AI infrastructure company, building an inference cloud for agentic workloads that can partition and orchestrate work across GPUs, CPUs and emerging accelerators.

The team is looking for a hands on Distributed Systems Engineer/MTS to help build the foundational infrastructure underneath that platform.

You'll work on infrastructure spanning distributed scheduling, inference runtimes, compilers, kernels and heterogeneous compute, with real production workloads from sophisticated AI customers.

They want someone who has personally built things like:

🔧Distributed schedulers, control planes or orchestration systems

📊Resource-management and workload-placement infrastructure

📈Foundational infrastructure where concurrency, state and failure semantics actually matter

💻Reliability and recovery for difficult distributed failures

Attributes that can help:

⚙️Experience building or operating distributed systems in production environments

📖Familiarity with scheduling, queues, or resource management systems

🔨Experience building reliable APIs and operating systems under high load

Software development experience in languages commonly used for systems development [e.g., Go, C++, Python]

This role is best suited to someone who wants to remain deeply hands-on, enjoys ambiguous problems, and would rather build the machinery rather than simply operate it.

If you have built schedulers, control planes, ML serving infrastructure, distributed
